COCA-COLA ENVIRONMENTAL STORY OF THE YEAR Eligibility Professional or Citizen journalists who are: - Citizens of any country within Asia, as listed in the Awards description. They can be based anywhere in the world, as long as the submitted story focuses on an environmental issue in Asia
- Journalists who have been living and working in Asia for at least 1 calendar year before the application deadline on 30 June 2012.
| Rewarding outstanding journalism qualities in covering an environmental issue in Asia. Articles or broadcast pieces must be about an environmental issue in the Asian context, and must meet the following requirements: - For professional journalists (including journalists employed by full-time news organisations, or freelance journalists whose works have been published in accredited media organisations or widely recognised online news portals): Published International/National/Local Newspapers and Magazines , or broadcast on recognised TV channels or internet news sites.
OR - For citizen journalists:Articles or broadcast pieces from Citizen Journalists must have been published on a personal blog or must have been carried on any widely recognised online news portal. There must be at least 20 discussion comments on the submitted entry. Or, the post must be endorsed by at least 5 blog readers with a 100-word write-up each. The entry must also have created a substantial impact in the protection of the environment.
ALL ARTICLES SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED BETWEEN 1 SEPTEMBER 2011 – 1 JUNE 2012. |

| Rewarding professional and citizen journalists who have established an outstanding body of at least 5 environmental articles from 1 September 2011 – 1 June 2012. - Each article or broadcast piece must be about an environmental issue in the Asian context, and must meet the following requirements: For professional journalists (including journalists employed by full-time news organisations, or freelance journalists whose works have been published in accredited media organisations or widely recognised online news portals): Published International/National/Local Newspapers and Magazines

TOYOTA EXCELLENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL REPORTING BY A MEDIA ORGANISATION Accredited media/news organisations and widely recognised online news portals from any country within Asia which is listed in the Awards description. | Rewarding media organisations for a consistently high performance in covering environmental issues in Asia. The organisation is required to submit a total of10 written articles or articles which were broadcast on radio or on television that showcase a consistent trend of excellence in its environmental reporting practices, OR a series of 5 articles about an unfolding environmentalsituationto showcase its ability to deliver high-quality breaking environmental news to its target audience. ALL ARTICLES SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED BETWEEN 1 SEPTEMBER 2011 – 1 JUNE 2012. |
