How To Apply for the Endorsement Under the Singapore Green Labelling Scheme
If you are interested to submit your product(s) for endorsement under the
Singapore Green Labelling Scheme (SGLS), please follow these guidelines:
All Application Material Must Be Submitted in
Both Soft Copy (PDF Format) and Mailed Originals From June 2009 Onwards
Application Guidelines 1. Please make sure that your product(s) fits under one of the categories stated within the "Criteria and Categories" section of the Green Label. (If your product category is not listed or you would like to assist in the development of a new product category, please contact the SGLS Secretariat)
2. Once you have identified your product category under the SGLS, please submit a sample of your product to an accredited laboratory in Singapore for testing under the specified Final Qualifying Criteria with the "Assessment" section. (Not all product categories require testing)
o If your product has already received endorsement under one of our Global Eco-Labelling Network partners, you may wish to use these test results submitted to gain your endorsement under our affiliate labelling schemes for the Singapore Green Label. (Please contact the SGLS Secretariat for further clarification, if necessary.)
o Please note that MSDS documents, although useful, CANNOT be substituted for actual test certificates from accredited laboratories.
3. Once test results have been attained and all test results pass the requirements stated in the criteria, please download the SGLS application form and fill it out completely. The SGLS application form needs to be submitted with:
o A cover letter stating your intent to apply for the SGLS
o A detailed description of your product, its content / materials used in manufacturing, manufacturing process and any other documentation the SGLS Secretariat requires
o Original test reports from an accredited laboratory.
o A fully completed and endorsed original SGLS Application form in PDF format.
- Please ensure that the application form has all the correct signatures and company stamps as required.
- If submitting multiple products under the same Category / Criteria, please list all products under the same application in Annex 1 of the application form.
