TICE was set up to allow tertiary institutions to collaborate as well as compete in environmental projects. To date TICE has organised events, camps and competitions, and has also facilitated the sharing of projects and practices by institutions. The objectives of TICE are:

(a) to enable sharing of expertise and resources;
(b) to provide a channel for exchange of ideas;
(c) to establish links among tertiary institutions;
(d) to conduct and coordinate programmes and projects on environmental protection for all tertiary students.

TICE’s ultimate goal is to reinforce environmental consciousness and responsibility among tertiary students.

Since 2003, SEC has been providing secretariat services to TICE by facilitating projects and organizing monthly meetings for the group.
