The United Nations TUNZA Children’s Conference on the Environment takes place every two years and attracts more than 600 children from other nations, who come together to learn about and discuss environment issues that concern everyone globally. Children then make pledges and give their viewpoints on these issues that will later be presented to all UN members.
The 2008 conference took place in Stavanger, Norway. The Singapore Environment Council sent three students to attend the conference. The themes for the conference were Energy, Biodiversity, Water, Production and Consumption.
