Dear Sir/Madam,

The Singapore Environment Council (SEC) has been actively promoting its " How Green is Your School" Programme to all schools since January 2000. Thus far, the response from schools to this green auditing programme has been very encouraging.

Linked to this project is an Awards Scheme, the criteria of which we have listed in the attached pages. In 2007, 161 schools qualified for awards.

This year the Council is happy to announce that Agilent Technologies will be sponsoring the audit awards for the year 2006/07. We thank them for their commitment towards environmental education in schools and recognising the importance of working children and youth.

We urge you to take this opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to the environment and to encourage environmental awareness amongst your pupils by participating in the Green Audit Project and qualifying for one of our awards.
