Qualifying Criteria (Part I )
1) Independent Solar Cell Powered Calculators (GLS-025-07) a) In this product, 100 % of the energy required shall be supplied only by the solar cells.
b) No part containing cadmium and mercury shall be present.
c) The product shall not contain organic halogen compounds (e.g. Polychlorinated Biphenyls)
d) Solar cell calculators shall ensure full functioning at a minimum luminal flux of 50 lux or lower.
2) Independent Solar Cell Powered Watches (GLS-026-07)

a) In this product, 100 % of the energy required shall be supplied only by the solar cells.
b) No part containing cadmium and mercury shall be present.
c) The product shall not contain organic halogen compounds (e.g. Polychlorinated Biphenyls)
d) Wrist watches shall be fully functional for one day at a luminal flux rate of 3000 luxh or less. When fully charged, the wrist watches shall function after a dark interval of minimum 48 hours. All other watches shall function for one day at a luminal flux rate of 600 luxh or less and when fully charged, shall function after a dark interval of minimum 72 hours.
Applicant needs to submit a sample for test at accredited SAC-SINGLAS (The Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme) Laboratories. Application shall be accompanied by a test report.
